There was nominal mail delivery yesterday, but almost nothing in anyone's box.
Today the mail arrived in bulk, and all of it was quite wet — wet enough to leave many drops of moisture in my mailbox after I retrieved it. Ink has run, and my neighbors tell me packages have arrived with sodden contents.
But more lights were on last night across the river in Jersey — somewhat more — than the night before. The subways are running above 34th St. and all the stores in my neighborhood are now open. CUNY reopens tomorrow.
