Someone has asked what City College course-load I think the current Hacker School burden might be equivalent to.
My answer: there is no equivalent, because essentially all City College engineering courses involve homework and exams, and most involve substantial theoretical or mathematical content rather than intensive coding. The stresses one undergoes in a coding-only curriculum are different enough from a school curriculum that I have my doubts about drawing any congruence.
